GARDENING TIP: you can change the color of your garden Hydrangeas from pink to BLUE by adding SOIL ACIDIFER, found in your garden center near the fertilizers! It's MAGIC!!

The Hydrangea Hill Suite #155985 is ELEGANT and let's you create any color blossoms you desire on card stock! These are "Z" fold cards cut 4-1/4 X 11" then scrored at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2". VERY EASY! I used the interesting Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate sheets #154574. The left one is Highland Heather color. The right one is flipped over to the silver side of the Mercury Glass Acetate.

I inked the flower image in Highland Heather and then "rolled" the edge of the image in Seaside Spray ink for a lovely realistic color combo. That is called the "ROCK & ROLL" technique.

I rarely make just one card at a time, so this one is varied from the other.

How cute are these overalls created with the All Dressed Up Dies #151665 that made the "purses" in my last post?!?!?!? I cased this adorable idea from Australian Demonstrator Michele Jutrisa. Michele has a 26 minute video you can view. I just had to make the coveralls with the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper #151189!

Cut off the bottom and side panel of the die cut purse, then cut a "V" to create two legs using the simple measurements above. 

Here is the backside so you can see how I crossed the two die cut straps.

ALL dies used are in the All Dressed Up Dies #151665. What a cute baby card, baby Valentine, toddler birthday or farmer card!! Just change the color!

TIPS for an exquisite sunrise or sunset on hand stamped cards:

   *Use Shimmery White Card Stock #101910 and Sponge Daubers #133773

   *Add saturated color to the card stock by collecting water based ink from an ink pad and SCRUBBING the ink all the way across the card with a dauber.

   *For blended colors for the sky, OVERLAP the colors.

   *Stamp silhouetted images on the finished base with BLACK ink

   *Color in any open areas that should be silhouetted using a water based BLACK marker

   *Layer onto a BLACK card base to pop colors

   *PRACTICE & EXPERIMENT

Use plenty of ink, loading your dauber multiple times!

Any highlights, like on this gazebo roof, can be filled in with a black marker to create a true silhouette.

NATURE'S BEAUTY Stamp Set #150528 was chosen by Shari Wicks, fellow demonstrator, to create this soft, sweet bunny card which I cased. LOVE IT!!

Do you recognize this Designer Paper?? It's MONSTER BASH DESIGNER SERIES PAPER #150447! It's PERFECT!

This is a 4 x 4" Gate Fold card: cut base card 11 x 4" and then score at 2, 3-3/4, 7-1/4, and 9". This fits in a Stampin' Up! medium envelope. (Don't use a square envelope because it's extra US postage.)

The realistic bunny is colored with Stampin' Up! Blends alcohol markers: Light Smoky Slate and Ivory. To create the snow, I dotted on SNOWFALL ACCENT PUFF PAINT #150691 and sprinkled it with ICE STAMPIN' GLITTER #150445. Then I heated the puff paint with a heat tool and the glitter adhered. You can also adhere the glitter with SHIMMERY CRYSTAL EFFECTS #150892.

Sentiment is from MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL #147702. This is the perfect holiday card for a nature lover!! TRY IT!

There is lots of color in a sunset! Use Stampin' Write Markers like: Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Terracotta Tile and Mango Melody to create your own sunset. Scribble horizontally across Shimmery White Card Stock starting off the edge and ending off the edge.

Stamp the silhouette image from the Friend Like You Stamp Set #149237 on top of the sunset colors using Tuxedo Black Momento Pad.

Use any of the sunset colors to create your base card. I used Mango Melody for cheeriness!! TRY IT!

I found this clever embossing trick by Diana Langman. I have never seen this before. 

1. Emboss the Purple Posy card stock with Subtle 3D Embossing Folder #151775.

2.  Emboss the same card stock with Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder #151823 by inserting one corner into the machine. STOP just before the outside edges of the embossing folder hit the machine. Back the embossing folder out of the machine. Be careful not to damage the embossing folder by continuing to emboss too far. 

This is the absolutely gorgeous Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper #149100. It's very Monet-like and impressionistic!

I LOVE this card!! Free as a Bird Stamp Set #149468 is an OPEN IMAGE design. Simply take a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker #100082 and color the images black to create a silhouette! It's SOOO easy and totally changes the appearance!  The background is Shimmery White card stock #101910 which has a nice finish for creating sunsets!  Using markers, scribble sunset colors onto Shimmery card stock by starting off one side and ending off the other. Don't worry about being perfect, because the image goes on top. Next, stamp your image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Fill in all open designs with the black marker. Sunset marker colors: Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape. You get LOTS OF IMPACT!! TRY IT!

I used two sunset colors for the card base: Flirty Flamingo and Mango Melody to POP the black!

Carry the same colors inside for the sentiment! TRY IT, you will love it, too!!

We all need quick cards! Let designer paper be your focal point. Cut a design paper 6" by 1-1/4" or 1-1/2". Attach it diagonally to your card front. Look closely. I added two score lines about 1/8" apart and parallel to the sides of the strip. This adds a bit of interest and texture. 

This lovely paper is Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper #149592. Be sure to cover your envelope flap for increased impact!

Try the WHITEWASH Technique with this lovely new Good Morning Magnolia Bundle #151087!

Heat emboss the flower image onto Crumb Cake card stock. I used Gold Embossing Powder.

Tap your open White Craft Ink Pad #147277 onto a clean acrylic block or other nonporous surface. Using an Aqua Painter #103954 filled with plain water, collect the ink and paint onto the flower petals. This gives a lovely milky look. SOFT!

This WHITEWASHED image really pops on a Basic Black card stock base! TRY IT!

Bloom by Bloom stamp set #148820 is VERSATILE! Try creating your own background. Select 3-4 colors you like together. Start with the largest image using one of the colors. Stamp it spaced fairly evenly on your layer. Second, use the next to largest image and another color. Finish with the smallest image to "fill in between" the previous shapes. Secret: if there is an area that you are NOT satisfied with...cover it with the sentiment! 

Since the background is busy, I used a solid color to frame the sentiment. It helps the eye "rest on the word."

It's fun to experiment with different color combos! TRY IT!

This is the STAINED GLASS Technique using Very Vintage Host Stamp Set #146801. Stamp the image on Vellum using StazOn Jet Black Ink Pad #101406. Let dry. Then color on the BACKSIDE with Blends (or markers.) It's EASY!

This cute design is a CHEVRON FOLD that I saw on Dawn Olchefske's BLOG!  She has excellent directions so I will not repeat them. When you select your designer paper for this technique, choose a paper with high contract on the two sides!

These Notecards #131527 are FUN to create!! Simply scribble horizontally using the side of the broad tip of Stampin' Write Markers on GLOSSY cardstock!! BLEND sky colors by overlapping. Do not blend the green "earth." TIP: turn your glossy cardstock upside down to cut which will reduce oily fingerprints that interfere with coloring.

The marker dries quickly. Stamp your silhouette image in STAZ-ON Jet Black Ink #101406. Let dry.
