Sale-A-Bration nears end

102_5068

Sale-A-Bration 2015 ends in four days! This is a cheery design by Judy Trigg, a demonstrator friend from Illinois. She used Stampin' Write Markers to color on the backside of the SHEER PERFECTION Designer Vellum Stack (which is a FREE S-A-B item with purchase.) The butterflies are nicely framed by the BANNERS Framelits #132173. Such a happy SPRING card created by Judy!!

Irresistibly Yours MAGIC!

100_5026

You need to try this REALLY cool technique, Tone-on-Tone-on-Tone!! The supplies you need are: Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper (a FREE Sale-A-Bration item till 3/31/2015,) Dots & Stripes Decorative Masks (really a stencil,) ink pad, stamping sponge, and a tissue. I'm using Sahara Sand and a 3X3" piece of the DSP.

100_5027

Pounce the sponge onto the ink pad to collect color. With stencil on top of the DSP, SCRUB the sponge over the stencil to create dark areas as shown.

100_5028

Remove the stencil. LIGHTLY sponge the entire area with circular motions. I only did half so you could see the difference it makes! The white embossed image POPS OUT like MAGIC!! Buff with a tissue to remove ink on the white embossed area.

And here is the finished piece - three layers of color! So interesting! Now for the card...

100_5031

Look at the stunning results!! The white embossed area is glossy and really stands out. I just LOVE this quick technique! The Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper contains 2 each of SIX different designs for a total of 12 sheets of 12X12" papers. This project only took a 3X3" piece!

A Happy Thing

100_4973

This plump little bird makes me happy! I was fiddling with the 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon which I love to use for TEXTURE! I pulled a few threads and wove a ribbon through the opening!! Glue dots secure the ends. I used Crystal Effects on the Bird's eye and beak, but the picture doesn't show it.

100_4974

The little bird is colored with Blendabilities which can be your FREE selection during Sale-A-Bration Promo through March 31, 2015. You must try them!!

Today, I'm at Stampin' Up! Leadership in Orlando, FL with my North Star Stamper Team!! Love chatting, swapping and sharing with my gals!! Can you hear us giggling??
