At our recent Midwest North Star Stamper Gathering, we voted on the best swap. It was a difficult decision because we had outstanding swap cards made by the attendees. The winner was Shari Bocker, 20 year demonstrator!! CONGRATS to Shari who received a NEW Holiday sentiment stamp set for her clever creation!!

Shari used the adorable online exclusive, Garden Meadow Bundle #162741. Her use of the Country Woods 12X12" Designer Series Paper #163393 is SO UNIQUE! She used the multi-colored rustic wood planks sheet and cut into 1/4" strips and staggered when attaching. This technique is BARGELLO, similar to the quilt technique by the same name. SO FUN!!

Aren't these cards made of scraps cute? They feature scraps from the 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper Assortment #163777 .

I LOVE the 6X6" Designer Series Papers for envelope flaps. Therefore, scraps accumulate!! That's a great opportunity it make some cute SCRAP CARDS!!

These strips are cut 1/2" wide and vary in length. Start near the middle of a 4 X 5-1/4" piece of Basic White Card Stock. Attach the first strip at any angle, then build random strips parallel on one side and perpendicular on the other side of the first strip. Flip the white cardstock and cut off excess beyond the edges. Add any sentiment.

Try this scrap card with any designer papers. If you use just one designer paper package, the colors will flow nicely. This is fun and easy. TRY IT!!

Layer a piece of scrap paper at any angle across Bubble Bath card stock. Using the Stampin' Up! Blending Brush #153611 and Petunia Pop ink pad, very lightly sponge ink onto the Bubble Bath card stock not covered by scrap paper. Remove the scrap paper. Then stamp the flower image from Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set #163579 in Pebbled Path ink. SO EASY!! Try it!! Mail it!!

Stampin' Up!'s NEW Basic Beige Ink Pad #163806 is PERFECT for the No Line Coloring Technique! It creates a lightly colored outline that will disappear when the image is colored. This Country Birdhouse Bundle #163401 was colored with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

You cannot see the outline of the stamped birdhouse. It's magic!

Check out this fun texture using the NEW Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder #163792!! To emphasize the texture try sponging like this:

Use a sticky note to mask each square so you can sponge on color. Use the handy Sponging Brushes #153611 to collect ink from an ink pad. Rub the sponge over the embossed card stock to add color to the raised areas. It's easy and fast!

Here are two samples that use different sides of the embossing folder.

My last posted showed you how to use the Painter's Tape Technique for card making. Here is another idea. If you click the photo to enlarge it, you'll get a nice view of the texture created by using Painter's Tape to make the background.

A black base card POPS all the colors!! The sentiment and stars were created using the Wanted to Say Dies #161594. To review this Painter's Tape Technique click HERE. Try this!!

This is called the Painter's Tape Technique - it's easy and unique! Use blue painter's tape because it is LOW tack adhesive. Start with 8 inches of tape for EACH color you intend to use. Lay the tape across a dye ink pad, sticky side down, and lightly rub the tape to pick up the ink.

Apply the inked tape to your card stock and press.

Gently pull off the tape and the ink will remain on the card stock showing a unique texture. It's always different and irregular. Repeat with different colors. Use a different piece of tape for each color.

Here are Peach Pie and Pretty in Pink colors on Basic white cardstock. This is ready to use for a project.

This sample is being die cut with Spotlight on Nature Dies #163580.

Here is the finished card featuring the Wanted to Say Dies #161594 in Basic Black Card Stock. The Painter's Tape background adds a unique ink texture!

What a beautiful tree. Loveliest Tree Stamp Set of 6 images #163714 creates a soft and gentle sympathy card. The background is a pale sunset created with Blending Brushes and Ink pads: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop.

The darker circle for the sentiment is created by using a circle punch "negative" and the same Blending Brush. Apply MORE Petunia Pop ink. The tree is stamped in Tuxedo Black Momento ink. Try it.

Everyone has birthdays, so keep cards ready! This Birthday wish features the Wanted to Say Dies #161594 which are bold and easy to read! The background is the pretty Unbounded Beauty 12X12" Designer Series Paper #163372 paired with NEW Peach Pie colored card stock. 

This eye catching ribbon treatment is called RUCHING, pronounced ROOSH-ING. It means to make a ripple-like effect with fabric. Try it!! Place a strip of Tear & Tape where you want the ribbon. Using your thumb, slightly fold the ribbon back and forth while pressing it onto the sticky tape.
