EXTRA SPECIAL post!! I just finished this flannel rag strip quilt for my second granddaughter, Carly Rose, due in the next 2 weeks! It was sooo fun to make!! Of course I had to create a coordinating card for my treasured gift!! Can't wait to meet precious Carly!!

For this card, I used the same colors from the quilt, cut in strips like the quilt. They were a little too bright so I softened them with a sheet of VELLUM. The letters are Playful Alphabet Dies #152706, popped up with Foam Adhesive Sheets #152815.

This is the quilt and coordinating card I made 4 years ago for #1 Granddaughter, sweet Lily! The nursery theme was "You are my Sunshine."

Maxie Boy wanted in on the photo shoot, too! He posed so nicely!!

Happy 8th Birthday sweet Maxie, my faithful companion!!! He is always nearby when I am stamping... sometimes he's snoring! 

Maxie approves everything I create!! He is a JOY to my hubby and me. 

Dorothy Chabot, my friend and Stamp Club member, sent me this "TOO-CUTE-FOR-WORDS" card!! It's extra special because we have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in our family, Maxie!! Here is Maxie for comparison-

Dorothy used her new Stamparatus, advanced positioning tool, to stamp the doggies in a circle! She did an OUTSTANDING job of making a perfectly specific card for ME!! LOVE IT DOROTHY!! Part of the JOY of stamping is personalizing our cards to connect with the receiver!

My hubby and I are waiting for our family to arrive! It's the best present and the only one I wanted - family together!! Our only grandchild, Lily, will entertain us! She is 20 months and our family's true joy! We are blessed.

I turned cute Bella into my MAXIE BOY!! Did you know we have a Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel? He is my constant creative companion, so this card honors him!

I used a Cajun Craze marker on Shimmery White cardstock to create his marking!

Have you heard? I'm going to be a GRANDMA for FIRST time!! I made this Rag Quilt for my daughter's baby nursery. The nursery theme is Black, White and a pop of bright yellow...clouds, raindrops and YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE!! The quilt is done and ready for the baby shower. MAX loves it!!

MAX wants you to see a close up of the coordinating quilt card I made with my 1" square punch! PERFECT!! Stampers have a special opportunity to create a greeting card to perfectly pair with gifts!! Such FUN!!!!

In Florida, we don't have snow for Christmas...but we DO have NOODLE TREES!!! LOL This is Max and my hubby, Dean, who recently had shoulder surgery.

Santa wears shorts in Florida! Wherever you live, enjoy all the HOLIDAY EVENTS with your family and friends!

Max has a new bandanna! Isn't he handsome! I made his scarf in just 15 minutes.

Tying a full bandanna around Max's neck was too bulky. I did a quick google search and found some of the Doggie Bandannas are attached to the dog collar.

I made a simple 1-3/4" casing to slide his collar thru. It works very well! Now he needs Holiday designs!

Max graduated today from Petco's Adult One Obedience Class! He will basically do ANYTHING for a TREAT...even "song and dance!"

Max is our 5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Max was NOT elated with his first time in the pool! We had him sit on the top step for 10 minutes in the warm water. We want him to learn where the steps are located and that's how to get out of the pool. Two minutes after he got out, Max was back on "lizard patrol!" He doesn't eat lizards, but can't resist catching them. Currently we have dwindling numbers of "dumb" baby lizards.

Max loves to nap in my stamping office! He ALWAYS make a nice "pillow" with his blanket! He is a very good boy. We enjoy him so much!

Today is my 5th Birthday and my people gave me a cushie new bed in my lady's office!!

After rolling around and getting my own smells all over my new bed, I LOVE IT! Birthdays are FUN!

Can I have another one tomorrow???

I'm very sorry to see Stampin' Up!'s "My Digital Studio" come to an end on May 31, 2015. I just made cute little 5 X 5" photobooks of our new adopted Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Max. These will be gifts for family members.

I'm thrilled to announce the new addition to our home, Lord Maximus Aurelius, aka MAX! He is a four year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a real charmer! He's on the small side of the breed at just 10 pounds.

He's taken a real shine to my hubby, Dean! What a thrill! Retirement is a wonderful time to have a pet.

Max LOVES walks! Here he is camouflaged in the leaves! We are off on new adventures!
