Ornamental Pine

Guess what? The RETURNING FAVORITES List DOES NOT have this Ornamental Pine Stamp Set...I'm sooo sad about that. The last day to purchase this VERY VERSATILE design is Jan. 5, 2014 - the last day of the Holiday Catalog. DON'T WAIT if you want this stamp set!!

Inside of this thank you card.

I'm making thank-yous for holiday kindnesses I may receive. I was brought up to "show appreciation."  A hand-made card expresses my thoughts perfectly!

Elf Shoes Tutorial

This Elf Shoes card is a Christmas CLASSIC for me! You MUST make this!! You will need: Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Top Note Bigz Die, Papers of your choice, Brads, and the following punches: Star from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Modern Label, 3/4" Circle, 1-3/8" Circle.

Die cut one-half of the Top Note Die for the shoes. I am using Red Glimmer Paper - gotta have GLITZ!

Draw a prominent line vertically down the middle to create two shoes. Punch half of the 3/4" Cirlce Punch on each side of the line. Then use the 1-3/8" Circle Punch and punch about half of a circle from the toe to the previous punch to create the top of the shoe.

Punch one Modern Label and cut in half to create two buckles. Punch two Stars for the toes. Cut two papers 3/4"X 3" for the stockings.

Assemble with 1/8" Mini Brads. Tilt one leg for a saucey look!!

A sassy cute Christmas card!!! Try this!!

THANK YOU for shopping my

Guest Stamper

My guest stamper is Tami Waddell, my upline and friend from California. I love how she cut the wide Burlap Ribbon into a narrow width to layer with Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding!

Look closely - Tami "burnished" the Mossy Meadow Carsdstock! She used a Gold Encore ink Pad and Stamping Sponge. By rubbing lightly over the dry embossed image with an inked sponge, the result is a subtle golden detail on the raised areas. TRY IT!

Holiday Home BUNDLE of fun!

I'm having TOO MUCH fun with this Holiday Home BUNDLE!!! I used "direct-to-paper" technique for the background. Smokey Slate is the perfect ink color for a spooky sky.

The sentiment is stamped on So Saffron cardstock to match the moon. Be sure to create a coordinating envelope with the Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board and Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper! This set covers much more than Halloween! Holiday Home Bundle

Etching Technique

Have you heard about the "ETCHING" technique? It's sooo simple.

Use the fine tip on your BLACK Stampin' Write Marker to make short varied lines by "flicking." The Blended Bloom single stamp is perfect for this technique. Begin at the base of each petal and flick outward. I have seen this stamp done as a stunning "BLACK & WHITE" design. Here is my spin...Pink Pirouette and Black.

Isn't this unique!! Try it yourself and while you are at it, try "STIPPLING" with tiny dots clustered at the base of each petal.

This gives a totally different look.

Here is the finished "stippled" card. Which do you like best??

DSP Stack

I love to play with patterned papers! The Designer Series Paper STACKS are sooo affordable and inspirational! This is the TRIM THE TREE Designer Series Paper Stack from the new HOLIDAY Catalog. Such FUN winter designs!!

I used the "postage stamp" technique to display cute coordinating papers! The Punches are 1" Square and Postage Stamp Punch. To get a realistic postage look, mount the punched out images so they touch.

For All Things

It's just around the corner...AUTUMN! Here is a brand new stamp set called, "For All Things," from the 2014 HOLIDAY Catalog! I used the "postage stamp technique" with a variety of FALL colors.

If you don't have the  Envelope Punch Board, you NEED it! It "completes" the presentation. Your card becomes EXTRA special when the envelope coordinates! You can create 66 different sizes of envelopes!

Holiday Peek

This unique stamp set (3 images) called, SEASONALLY SCATTERED, will be available in the Holiday Catalog beginning August 28, 2014 at noon Mountain Time! I love the way it looks like I masked the letters, BUT DIDN'T!!

I inked the stamp with Pistachio Pudding ink and then added Garden Green marker over the letters before I went to Very Vanilla Cardstock. It gives a faux watercolor look with ONE quick print!

Inside I stamped the edge of the image for interest!

For a "touch of fall," I changed the colors: Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, and Cajun Craze. This card has a totally different feel.

Close up you can see all the wonderful viney details! Put SEASONALLY SCATTERED on your Wish List!

PS: WHY is the Holiday Catalog coming out on a weird date like Thursday, the 28th?? So it's up and running BEFORE Labor Day Weekend when you'll be sitting in your chaise, sipping Raspberry Lemonade, and making your Holiday Order!! Order here, 24/7 from your chaise!!
