Collect your scraps and make this card! This is such a cheery, vibrant card! That's probably why it was a recent class favorite!!

Cut card stock strips about 1/4 to 1/2" wide.  Attach the strips to a card stock base. I chose to attach these diagonally for more interest.

Flip over the card stock and trim off the strips that protrude beyond the edges. Mount to a slightly larger Black layer.

Next, mount butterflies from the Brilliant Wings Dies #155523, die cut with Black Card Stock!! These dies are currently on the Last Chance List: regularly $44, FOR ONLY $17.80 while supplies last!! It's a SUPER DEAL!!!

This card was a recent class favorite! This gorgeous paper is Pretty Prints 12 X 12" Designer Series Paper #159245 which coordinates with the Sun Prints Suite in the Annual Catalog on pages 90-91. The coordinating card stock I used is Soft Succulent.

Inside. The designer paper that creates the card front is cut 4 X 5-1/4". This fancy fold shows off both sides of the designer paper.

The sentiment, die cut, and embossing folder on the envelope flap, are from the coordinating Sun Prints Suite of products #158805! So pretty and so versatile!!

I had fun with color! I use quite a bit of black card stock, all year around. Black POPS all colors! These butterflies are cut with the Brilliant Wings Dies #155523. I applied Adhesive Sheets #152334 to the back of the black card stock before die cutting. This creates a "sticker," so application is quick and clean!! The backgrounds are Subtles 6 X 6" Designer Series Paper #159255. These paper packs are SO HANDY and great for envelopes flaps, too!!

This is a fancy fold. The base is 4-1/4 X 5-1/2". The center is simply a narrow card, cut 8-1/2 X 3", scored at 4-1/4" and mounted on the center of the base. Simple. Try it!

HELLO crafty friends! Alphabet A La Mode #160750 is extremely versatile!! I love that this design is narrow and TALL!! That means more letters fit on a card front!! Yea!!

Handy Tip! To line up your letters, use any straight edge. Here I used a post-it note to create a straight line.  Keep letters close together when creating a word. I like to use a pair of tweezers to hold the letters and position them. I ALWAYS use Adhesive Sheet #152334 on thin dies! Apply the Adhesive sheet to the back of the card stock BEFORE die cutting. This creates an easy to apply sticker!

This lovely black frame is Framed Florets Dies #160623. I also used the Adhesive Sheets when die cutting this frame. The bias plaid is the Country Gingham 6X6" Designer Series Paper #160388 in Mint Macaron.

The lovely Regency Park 6 X 6" Designer Series Paper #160559 creates a fun "FLOATING IMAGE" card! Simply attach assorted strips of paper to a Window Sheet #142314 leaving small regular spaces between papers. This layer was die cut with a Deckled Rectangle Die #159173. Run the die through your machine several times to cut through the Window Sheet completely. When you attach it to the card, dimensionalize it and it appears to "float!" Easy!!

I trimmed the waste and used it as an accent inside the card!

Have you ever made a Fancy Fold Easel Card? It creates a nice display!

Directions: The Cherry Cobbler Base card is 11 X 4-1/4", scored at 2-3/4".  The front panel folds and needs a "STOP." Any shape that is dimensionalized will work! This Fancy Fold folds flat for mailing. 

This card uses the Holly Leaves Bundle #159608 from the Jul - Dec Holiday Mini Catalog. These Holly Leaves have a Silver Foil base and a Rose Gold Foil overlay which was cut with Adhesive Sheets #152334 for easy application!!  The background is the Stitched Greenery Die #155451.

Find this gorgeous die on page 23 of the Stampin' Up! July - Dec. Mini Catalog. The Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies #156385 is very unique!!

Place the die that has the rectangle, behind the inside front of the embossing folder lined up with the folder image. Place your card stock behind the die and close the folder. Run it through your machine and it will cut & emboss in one step!! I used Soft Sea Foam Card Stock. Try metallic, too.

The inside has a pop of glimmer with the Glitter Washi Tape #159973!

Have you tried Stampin' Up!'s Blending Brushes #153611? They are fun and amazing! I used the brushes with the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks #159178. You might also call these "stencils."

Simply collect ink on your brush, directly from an ink pad. Secure the mask over your card stock. Use light pressure on your brush to apply the ink. Heavier pressure will increase your color intensity. I wanted a SOFT application for backgrounds. Color does not have to be perfectly even. Let it vary for some for interest!

This is one of my favorite stamp sets, Sending Smiles Bundle #158707.  Note how I curved the sentiment. It's easy to do with pliable photopolymer stamps!
