Tips to Attach Vellum on Card Fronts
10/18/2017
This soft and simple snowflake card features the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #144686. The base card is Soft Sky and rather difficult for amatuer me to photograph. In person this is really sweet. The Snowflake is embossed on Vellum Card Stock #101856.
I attached the Vellum top layer in two ways. I used Tear & Tape #138995 under the snowflake.
I also placed a glue dot on the dot of the "J" on the Soft Sky base card. Last, I centered the Vellum layer pressing the Tear & Tape and glue dot firmly. The glue dot is covered by a Rhinestone #144220. No adhesive shows thru on the front of the Vellum! So look for places under embellishments to "hide" your adhesives when using Vellum.

Hi Gail, I'm sorry to hear you are getting wrinkles. I am not able to reproduce that issue. I might suggest reducing the size of your paper to be embossed. My Vellum was 5-1/4" X 4". Hope that helps you.

Such a beautiful card! Do you have any tips on avoiding little wrinkles when embossing the snowflake? It seems no matter how I place it, I get a small crease at the very top or the very bottom of the snowflake. I'd love a tip! [email protected]
