NEW Alcohol Markers!!
GET READY!!!
I'm practicing with Stampin' Up!'s NEW Blends alcohol markers that will be release on NOV. 1st! I'm not a pro, but it sure is fun to play! I love that these markers do not streak. This is the Calypso Coral Duo and the Old Olive Duo marker sets used with the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set #140655 wood or #140658 clear mount.
Next, I played with the Pink Pirouette Duo Set for a really soft look.
Did you notice the looped ribbon against the Silver Foil Paper embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder #143704 ?? Go to my Facebook Business Page for a chance to WIN FREE BLENDS: click here While you are there, please LIKE my page! Appreciated!
I have about 50 orchids, a small collection by Florida standards! Orchid gardening is my "brain refresh" when my creative juices quit flowing - LOL! Most orchids have roots that escape the pot, because they are "EPIPHYTES" (air plants.) So I decided to add that unique root element to my design. I used the HAPPY BIRTHDAY Thinlits Dies #143700 and cut off some curly ques that made perfect roots for my card create with the Climbing Orchid Bundle #143723.
Here is an example of healthy orchid roots - they prefer the outside of the pot!
This orchid pot is a 2-1/4" Circle Punch which I cut off the top and bottom. Make some unique orchid designs by adding realistic roots! Try it!!
I'm heading to Salt Lake City, Utah in a couple of weeks for Stampin' Up! OnStage (convention!) Whenever demonstrators gather there is SWAPPING!! We share our ideas! I chose the Definitely Dahlia Stamp with Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum inks for my swaps.
Confession time: I hate making the same card over and over...50-60 times. B-O-R-I-N-G, so I make 5-10 at a time and then stamp another project.
I'm half-way done. The two-tone floral color is achieved by stamping the Dahlia in Rich Razzleberry ink, then sponging the white petals with Sweet Sugarplum ink. Try it!

This soft and simple snowflake card features the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #144686. The base card is Soft Sky and rather difficult for amatuer me to photograph. In person this is really sweet. The Snowflake is embossed on Vellum Card Stock #101856.
I attached the Vellum top layer in two ways. I used Tear & Tape #138995 under the snowflake.
I also placed a glue dot on the dot of the "J" on the Soft Sky base card. Last, I centered the Vellum layer pressing the Tear & Tape and glue dot firmly. The glue dot is covered by a Rhinestone #144220. No adhesive shows thru on the front of the Vellum! So look for places under embellishments to "hide" your adhesives when using Vellum.

Christmas is coming and Santa's Sleigh is ready! For an elegant look, use FOIL PAPER! I chose the Champagne Foil Paper #144748 from the Holiday Catalog page 37.
I paired the Foil Paper with Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green for a traditional look. The black layer POPS the image. Get started on your Christmas Cards now!
Santa's Sleigh Thinlits
#140278 - $30, twelve dies
Hello Friends!
The Orchid is an elegant flower! It makes a heartfelt sympathy card. Can you see the little angel in the center??
I used a bone folder and my thumb to curl the side petals slightly upward. The double ribbon treatment is simple, but adds a shimmery texture.
Climbing Orchid Bundle
28 photopolymer images & 12 framelits
I love all the Bridge Card fancy fold layouts I am seeing, but wanted to change it a little. I moved the "bridge" piece up to the top of the card and used a window sheet instead of card stock! This makes the French Horn magically "float!"
I used Tear 'n Tape #139995 to attach the Window Sheet #142314 at the very outside edges of the card. It's clear so it mostly disappears.
This top view really shows the "floating" die cut. I used the Musical Season Bundle #146048, a favorite of mine!
Yes, this card folds flat for mailing. It collapses to the side. Such a FUN fancy fold!!

Here is your pattern:
I enjoyed stencilling the last post so much, I looked thru my dies to see what else I could use for the same technique, Stencilling with Thinlits. I chose the NEW Quilt Builder Framelits #144673. I die cut this image in the center of a quarter sheet of cardstock to create my own stencil.
I selected three autumn color ink pads and coordinating Sponge Daubers #133773. I'm using the daubers instead of sponges because the areas to stencil are smaller than the leaves I did in the last post.
I laid the negative die cut on Whisper White cardstock. I wanted the corners a different color so masked them with sticky notes. I sponged on color and blended a darker center.
The stencilling has a very appealing blended softness.
Please TRY THIS fun and easy "Stencilling using Thinlits!" To see other stencil ideas, click "STENCILS" in the sidebar on the right which is my archive.
Autumn has arrived and I love playing with fall colors! Did you know you can use thinlit dies to create stencils in a SNAP??
Using Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies #143751, die cut the basic leaf shape in the center of a quarter sheet of cardstock to create an instant stencil.
Selected three or more fall color ink pads and coordinating sponges.
Lay the negative of the die cut on Whisper White Cardstock and sponge on colors, blending as you go. Pounce the sponge on the ink pad to pick up color and then pounce or scrub that color inside the stencil. It's best to start with the lightest color and work to the darker color. Blending is simple and smooth.
I created a pile of colorful autumn cards that will go out to some of my North Star Stampers Demonstrator Team. The base card is Basic Gray and the embellishment is the darling Smoky Slate 1/2" Gingham Ribbon.

Do you know someone who is a real "gem?" Here is the perfect way to tell them! It's a "gem" thinlit die from Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies #143774.
This design reflects the home decor idea of grouping empty picture frames on the wall. These paper frames were die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies #14537.
The Natural Eclectic Designer Series Paper #144185 has the perfect paper for a coordinating envelope!
