How to add Roots to Climbing Orchid

20171019_151805

I have about 50 orchids, a small collection by Florida standards! Orchid gardening is my "brain refresh" when my creative juices quit flowing - LOL! Most orchids have roots that escape the pot, because they are "EPIPHYTES" (air plants.) So I decided to add that unique root element to my design. I used the HAPPY BIRTHDAY Thinlits Dies #143700 and cut off some curly ques that made perfect roots for my card create with the Climbing Orchid Bundle #143723.

Here is an example of healthy orchid roots - they prefer the outside of the pot!

This orchid pot is a 2-1/4" Circle Punch which I cut off the top and bottom. Make some unique orchid designs by adding realistic roots! Try it!!
