Make it quick with scraps!

Don't you LOVE a quick card made with scraps?? Here you go! Cut four designer series papers 1-7/8" X 2-1/2". TIP: IF YOUR PAPER CUTTER ALLOWS, CUT THEM AS ONE SHEET, because then they will be the same size and fit perfectly! I used the Warmth & Cheer 6X6 Designer Series Paper Stack.

The secret is MARKING THE CENTER of your card for perfect placement. Use a little extra TOWBOW LIQUID GLUE so you can S-L-I-D-E the paper into the exact position! Using too little liquid glue causes the liquid to dry quicker and GRAB....halting your adjustments! I embellished with Glimmer Papers for a POP! I used only SCRAPS! Demonstrators, this is an excellent Make & Take for any season! Try it!

Baby's First Christmas Ornament

I just finished personalized Christmas Tree ornaments for our first grandchild! She's ADORABLE! I covered heavy chipboard with Designer Series Paper. The front is a favorite baby picture and the back says, "Lily's First Christmas 2016." (Be sure to date your ornaments! I heat embossed the entire ornament with CLEAR embossing powder. I was VERY CAREFUL not to over-heat the photo. I made an extra - good thing, because one of the photos bubbled up and scorched. OOOOPS - live and learn. I added the Silver Glimmer Hearts and Eyelet after heat embossing.

I left the "glare" on this picture so you could see the ornament is shiny. My clear embossing powder is contaminated with the old iridescent ice embossing powder so I ended up with a few sparkles on Lily's sweet face.

I have made ornaments in the past with reprints of old childhood pictures, school pictures or special memories. It is not just for babies. It's always fun at Christmas to look at all the personalized ornaments you collect over the years!  Try this ornament idea!

Curled Paper Wreath by Shari

Shari Wicks, my friend and team member from Florida, made this FESTIVE Curled Paper Wreath using the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper. It's ADORABLE!!

The strips are 1/2" wide and curled from the center out using a bone folder. Shari used this video as her source: Kristin

This CLEVER idea could be made up for any season!! TRY IT!!

Jar of Cheer

Here's a SWEET Christmas card! This "jar" is so VERY versatile! The jar is in the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies #141490.

I made a reverse mask and stamped the candy inside the jar. The 1/2" Circle Punch perfectly cuts out the candy to place outside the jar.

Inside I added a "scrap" of the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper to save it from the trash!!

Another Use for Framelits

I love this quick, clean NO LAYER look! Did you see my post from yesterday? Just scroll down to see how I created "PEN-A-FRAME."

I used the Project Life Journaling Pen to frame these cards. I also use these handy, waterproof and fade resistant pens for addressing my envelopes.

Another Use for Framelits

Don't you love multiple uses for your tools? Check out this simple NO LAYER CARD DESIGN using a framelit in a DIFFERENT way!

Stamp an image, then "PEN-A-FRAME." Just lay a framelit on your card. Use the "05" (larger) tipped Project Life Journaling Pen to trace around the INSIDE of the framelit! SO SIMPLE! Want a double line? Now trace around the OUTSIDE of the framelit. Skip the tracing line when you come to the image. Add a bold sentiment.
