Cloud 2

Check out this sweet & simple Baby Card I spied on Pinterest! I just LOVE it's simplicity!! You can view the original here, (in a foreign language:) http://www.littlethings.su

Cloud

I rounded the card corners to add softness. The tiny star is Silver Foil Paper punched with the Confetti Stars Border Punch. I chose Silver Metallic Baker's Twine to hang my cloud. The cloud is from the Tree Builder Punch. This is a GREAT gender neutral Baby Welcome!! Try it!!

Masculine Birthday Card

20160314_153820_resized

I created this masculine birthday greeting using a pile of "little extras" on my desk...you know those things you just can't throw away because you think you "MIGHT" use them!! The sentiment and layer is Night of Navy color. The lovely ferns are Mossy Meadow Card Stock cut with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.

I love recognizing the accomplishments of my team!! What better way than sending Stampin' Up!'s Statement of the Heart with a splash of sparkle!! The background is the Confetti Embossing Folder lightly sponged with ink to pop the images.

Garden in Bloom

20160310_085802_resized

I love this happy, busy BEE!! I used vellum over Designer Series Paper, Wildflower Fields (from Sale-A-Bration 2016.) I stamped the Bee images with StazOn ink and let dry a minute. Using the Project Life Journaling Pen, I added "bee trails" for motion!

20160310_085709_resized

This is a simple format with the punched sentiment "tucked behind" the layer!

Tip for a great stamped image

20160322_194500_resized

TIP: I like to give my stamps an additional trimming before mounting, whether they are clear or wood mount type. Use a sharp scissors and cut away any extra rubber with straight cuts. After trimming, you will not "catch edges" as you ink up the image, resulting in those annoying ink marks!! It only takes a minute and insures years of great images from your stamp! Saves card stock, too!!

Orchids

Came with house

Did you know I grow orchids as a hobby? I have just over 50 orchids I grow outside under screening. I have always enjoyed gardening, but this is a new hobby for me - I've been doing it for about three years and am seeing amazing results this spring! This orchid "came with the home" we bought so I don't know it's name. I've divided it several times with great results. This plant has TWELVE blossoms and a division of it has TEN blossoms. I'm pretty darn proud of it!!

3-11-2016

This is a newer orchid I've only had for one year. I belong to two orchid groups which have answered lots of my elementary questions and cheered me on! It's a fun hobby and I use it as a break from stamping when I get a creative block. I will not post orchids often because this is a stamping blog, but thought you might like to know about my other passion.
