Designer Series Paper Tip

Ever wonder just "how to use that WILD Designer Series Papers?" This format almost always works for the large crazy prints! The DSP is cut 5-1/2" X 2" (or so.) Select a color from the design to mount the paper on and then add coordinating ribbon. Tuck a greeting behind the layer and mount onto another color from the design! NOW, I love this Confetti Celebration Designer Series Paper!

This accent color is Tangelo Twist.

This accent color is Strawberry Slush with Silver Ribbon. Each Designer Series Paper Pack is LABELLED with the colors it features! Perfect results are easy! TRY this!

Guest Shari

My friend and North Star Stamper sister, Shari Wicks of Florida, created this stunning Christmas card! She used the lovely new Ornamental Pine Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalog.

This stunning traditional creation was Shari's swap at our Florida Demonstrator Gathering!! I can almost smell the pine!

Holiday Home BUNDLE of fun!

I'm having TOO MUCH fun with this Holiday Home BUNDLE!!! I used "direct-to-paper" technique for the background. Smokey Slate is the perfect ink color for a spooky sky.

The sentiment is stamped on So Saffron cardstock to match the moon. Be sure to create a coordinating envelope with the Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board and Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper! This set covers much more than Halloween! Holiday Home Bundle

Make it Quicker

100_4682 LOVE Stampin' Up! Blendabilities Markers! When I want to create a quicker card using Blended Bloom Stamp with Blendabilities, I use half of the image by stamping it on a tag!! This is a perfect idea for DEMONSTRATORS wanting to feature this combo!! Blendabilities also coloed the Pearls to coordinate with the flower!

If you compare these two samples, you will notice I shaded the petals in opposite directions. This Rich Razzleberry flower has the darkest shading at the tip of each petal. Blendabilities were used to color the Rhinestones.

Here are close ups for comparison!

 TRY Blendabilities!! They are AWESOME!!

Grab your Heat Tool and try Watercolor Resist! I heat embossed "hip-hip hooray!" in white embossing powder. Then I used the Aqua Painter to paint color across the words. The embossing will RESIST the color! It's FUN and oh so simple!

My Digital Studio

I LOVE using my Stampin' Up! supplies when I need a gift! Here is part of my gift for a Baby BOY Shower. I created a BABY JOURNAL in minutes with My Digital Studio! The only thing it involves is designing the front and back covers because the inside is all ruled pages. I used my "retired" Baby Prints Stamp Set to coordinate a card in the same colors.

I added a little message on the back cover of the journal.

Then I also coordinated the wrapping!! Don't you love the Deco Labels Collection Framelits! I simply printed the name on my computer and ran the cardstock thru my Big Shot!

Etching Technique

Have you heard about the "ETCHING" technique? It's sooo simple.

Use the fine tip on your BLACK Stampin' Write Marker to make short varied lines by "flicking." The Blended Bloom single stamp is perfect for this technique. Begin at the base of each petal and flick outward. I have seen this stamp done as a stunning "BLACK & WHITE" design. Here is my spin...Pink Pirouette and Black.

Isn't this unique!! Try it yourself and while you are at it, try "STIPPLING" with tiny dots clustered at the base of each petal.

This gives a totally different look.

Here is the finished "stippled" card. Which do you like best??
