Ordering from the new catalog BEGINS 5/31/13 at noon MOUNTAIN time.
To prep for catalog change over, Stampin' Up!'s ordering system will be down from midnight to noon MT Time.
Helpful guidelines to ordering new product:
1- Try cardstock ASSORTMENTS to see which new colors you will love.
2- When adding a new color, you will maximize your creative options by getting a deep selection in that ONE COLOR: cardstock, ink pad & reinker, Designer Series Paper, ribbon/twine, embellishments. You will then have the accessories to coordinate when you create.
3- ALWAYS purchase a reinker when adding a new ink pad. Ink pads last a very longgg time when refilled.
4- Look for BUNDLES of coordinating products which are a 15% SAVINGS!
5- To the right of stamp set order numbers is a list of coordinating punches and dies. The thin lines around the stamp images shows the punch and dies shapes.
6- All Designer Series Papers Packages now list the COLORS used in that package - SO HELPFUL!
7- Purchase at least $50 in merchandise at a time, so your order qualifies for my STARS Customer Rewards Program!
8- If your budget allows, purchase $150 at a time to receive Hostess Benefits of FREE product of your choice PLUS THREE STARS towards my Rewards Program! It's DOUBLE DIPPING!!

Cards for Men

I frequently hear, "I just don't know WHAT to do for Men's cards!" Here are some quick guidelines:
1-Keep the card design clean and simple
2-Use colors and images from nature
3-Use twine or jute instead of ribbon
4-If you use a button, pick a wooden or metal type
5-If you don't have masculine images, use the sentiment as the focal point
6-Click MALE CARDS in the right column to see ideas
7-Most of all - DON'T forget the Men and Boys in your life!!

Dress Up Party Treat!

Check out this sweet Party Treat container! Total credit goes to Demonstrator, Shirley Merker of Wisconsin at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/sjsinks/blog
Start with Designer Series Paper cut to 6-1/2" X 2-3/4" and scored at 3-1/4". Cut with the Dress Up Framelit placing the fold at the shoulders ABOVE the cut line. Embellish the dress.
Create a simple box with a coordinating 3" X 3" cardstock. Score all sides at 3/4" and fold. Before assembling the box, cut out a triangle at each corner to remove bulk. Build the box using Sticky Strip.
Next, attach the skirt edges to the box with Sticky Strip!
Such a CUTE party favor for your girlfriends! PARTYTIME!! You try it!

This card features BOTH SIDES of double-sided This and That Epic Day Designer Series Paper! I used a flattened Soda Pop Top with a greeting...then covered the greeting with Crystal Effects. NOTE: I should have heat embossed the sentiment because the color bled slightly. oops
Open both flaps for a colorful interior! There you'll see a new sentiment from Label Love Stamp Set, available May 31, 2013. To create this layout cut Designer Series Papers to 3X3" and 4X4".

Customized Birthday Card

A very sweet neighbor's birthday calls for a VERY special card! She loves green and she quilts so I created this card with those two elements. Using a 1-1/4" square punch I punched squares out of the lovely International Bazaar Designer Series Papers. I cut the squares diagonally and arranged. I ran the entire layer through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine with the Lattice Embossing Folder. This step gives the "quilted" effect!
