I heat embossed the sentiment in GOLD for an extra punch! The background is the WOODGRAIN Embossing folder. After embossing the Crumb Cake cardstock with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, I dragged my Early Espresso ink pad across the cardstock to highlight the texture. VERY guyish!! That's a new word. Hello, Hello!

I left my craft desk and headed out with our friends in the Punta Gorda Boat Club for a paddle on the Braden River, launching from the Linger Lodge Campgrounds in Bradenton, FL (WEST coast) The weather was a pleasant 72 degrees!

The little sandy spot on the left bank is a PERFECT Alligator sunning location. I personally do not like to see an alligator while I'm in my tiny, little vinyl kayak! However, they are wild animal and disappear quickly when they see humans.

We saw LOTS of turtles, some bigger than dinner plates. I also saw a huge flock of Robins feasting on berries, getting fueled to fly north.

Into the UNIQUE "Linger Lodge" for lunch. Founded 1945. This sign is made of SNAKES! This is "old Florida," a term that means off the beaten path and well-woren!

You HAD to have a sense of humor when you read this menu..."where the food bites back!" Click on the picture to view a largre version that you can read easily.

I felt like I was being "watched" while I ate! Taxidermy everywhere!

Dress Up Framelits Die

Yes, you can create a NO LAYER card with lots of interest! I made my own template and sponged color inside the shape to create a focal area. This unifies the sentiment and image, acting like a faux layer. This method works to create a SUN, too.

I used the same sponge dauber to add Daffodil Delight ink to the basic vanilla Flower Trim. LOVE those little flowers - you GOTTA try them!! This card is from my recent Get Well/Sympathy Card Class.

What is Triple Time Stamping? It's quite easy, yet impressive! Stack three layers of cardstock, attaching w/ re-positionable adhesive. Stamp your image(s). Separate the cardstocks and add a darker cardstock as a layer which will elimate the "white space" at the edges of the layers. As you do it, you will understand how it works!

I repeated the same motif and colors on the inside with punches!

The DRESS UP Framelits Die contains three shapes: dress form, this short-sleeved dress, and yesterday's sleeveless dress. Stinkin' cute, don't you think?!?!? For a regal touch, I used the YOU RULE stamp set of 5 images.

I rubbed the Lacy Brocade Embossing folder with Illuminate Glimmer ink BEFORE embossing the dress and got this wonderful shimmery look! Be sure to keep the dress embellishments "portional" to the size of the dress!

Inside I just HAD to stamp the crown! Wouldn't you love to be "QUEEN FOR A DAY" on your Birthday?
