This is a GREAT Halloween Treat pouch! There is a pocket the same size on the backside.

Start with paper cut 6" X 6". Designer Series Paper will work the best because it folds and flattens well. Score on the black lines. Stampin' Up!'s Diagonal Plate and Simply Scored make this project FAST and accurate!

I used Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper. Fold the sides into the center.

Fold in half with the pockets facing out. No adhesive is necessary. Punch a hole at the top thru both layers at the same time, then tie with ribbon.

I added an optional little Black Cat tag. Add candy or gift card. This is a fast, simple little treat pouch for any holiday: hang on a /Christmas Tree, use as a table favor, or send thru the mail in a Stampin' Up! medium envelope.

I've been through volunteer orientation at the Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County, FL! WOW am I impressed with this facility! VERY CLEAN!! The center takes in about 5,000 animals each year. Euthanasia "for space" is never considered.

I'll be helping in the Cat Area, cleaning cages, cuddling, and helping with endless laundry. I'll get in plenty of pets, too!

I would guess these young cats are from the same litter so can all be together in the same open room complete with little kitty staircase that leads outdoors.

This is one of the outside kitty areas with sun, shade and drinking water fountain.

This card has the same colors and designs as yesterday's post, but looks quite different. This is a "gate fold" which opens just like the garden gate.
The "CREATE" medallion straddles the opening, but is only attaches on the left panel.

When your base card is dark in color, add a layer of neutral cardstock inside so your message is easy to read. Brighten someone's day with a hand made card!

The butterflies on this background are perfectly lined up. It's easy: lay the white triangle on the white base card and stamp as if they were one. The "ghosting" around the triangle will be covered up when you add the Riding Hood Red triangle matting. TRY IT!

SEAS THE DAY!! I just LOVE this idea I discovered on Pinterest. So simple: grab sand and water colored cardstock and start tearing.

Now and then you may need a BIG card for lots of people to sign and send - like a church or club. All that space to fill can be intimidating! These card are 5.5x8.5" from a full sheet folded in half. Using Designer Series Paper fills a lot of space!

The Quint-Essential Flower ala cart stamp is a good bold choice for the focal point. Avoid small delicate images on giant cards.

This is also a 5.5x8.5" card, but has a totally different feeling.
Again the Designer Series Paper fills space. Keep these in mind the next time your group needs a Giant Card to communicate their sentiments!

Here is an idea for the darling 1/4" Sweater Trim in the Holiday Catalog. I ran a thin bead of Tombow Multi-purpose Liquid Glue along the outside edge of the Gumball Green cardstock circle. Then I laid the Sweater Trim on top of the glue circle. AFTER it had dried, I tied a square knot and trimmed the ends. Quite simply!

 It adds great wintery texture to this holiday greeting!! The Sweater Trim comes in Cherry Cobbler (shown), Gumball Green, and Whisper White. Its also a nifty way to tie on holiday tags!

I had a FUN stamping weekend in Ft. Lauderdale at the Sheraton Beach Hotel, formerly the YANKEE CLIPPER HOTEL of 1950-60's fame! The hotel is shaped as a ship as you can see in the mural behind me. Lynn, my "Stamping Cousin" had a Stamp Retreat there so I got to meet all her stamping friends! Stampers are always a crazy bunch!

This was the beach view from my hotel room - lots of weekend activities in the sand,water, and air!!
