The NEW Serene Silhouettes stamp set really sparks my creativity! I used Sponge Daubers and two ink pads to creat this sunset on GLOSSY paper. The glossy surface allows the best blending of colors. Then I stamped the detailed bird image and allowed it to dry thoroughly.
This GREAT DEAL ends July 31, 2012
Check out these yummy BE OF GOOD CHEER Designer Papers! I punched out squares and cut each diagonally. After attaching them to Whisper White cardstock, I ran it thru my BIG SHOT in the Square Lattice Folder. This achieves a "QUILTED" look without a thread and needle.
The sparkle in the center is the NEW Vintage Faceted Button with a Rhinestone added to the center! It's Christmas in July!!
It's never too early to design your Holiday cards! This is a stylized Christmas tree called STAR TREE. I stamped the image in CRAFT Black ink and heat embossed it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. The tree sparkles but the camera didn't pick it up.
The Silver Glimmer Paper really adds PUNCH to a very simple design.
STAR TREE is a single stamp for only $9.95. Click SHOP NOW on the right to purchase this or any Stampin' Up! products.
Gabbin' and sharin' at Convention: Shonedra Steele, Barb Faulkner, Michelle Miller, Cathi Kinstrom, my roommate Diana Krug from TX, me, Lacy Stauffer, Dana Meacham. We are all North Star Stampers except Diana. Had FUN!!
Got home from my 16th convention in Salt Lake City at 2 AM - I NEED SLEEP!! It was a blast!! Lots of ideas, swaps and free products!
This is another totally different look for the Quint-Essential stamp. I topped off the image with a NEW Dahlia embellishment!
This sweet edging is easy to create with the Adorning Accents Edgelit and the coordinating Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack of THREE unique templates!
I call this NEW Quint Essential Stamp - "E. Q." I love it so much that I gave a bunch as gifts during my recent June demonstrator group meeting! It has FIVE coordinating punches - NO cutting necessary!
Confession: I goofed when stamping this detailed tree image from "Serene Silhouettes." So....instead of pitching the image, I grabbed a circle punch and punched out the "good" part. Sometimes the design just takes control and turns out TOTALLY different than I originally planned.
After layering onto a Scallop Circle, I added piercing using the NEW Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack.
The Basic Grey layer is cut with the LABELS COLLECTION FRAMELITS and my very versatile Big Shot Die Cutting Machine! My "goof" turned out quite nicely! Get creative with your mistakes!
This pretty thank you card was made by my demonstrator friend, Peggy Taylor. She used the NEW "Betsy's Blossoms." Two flowers are stamped with Versamark ink, and the center flower is heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.
BY THE SEASHORE is a lovely, detailed NEW stamp set of six images. Here I've stamped it in Soft Suede on watercolor paper, then add a light shading with Calypso Coral ink and an Aqua Painter.
Distressed Dots background stamp completes the summery theme.
I can not get enough of this beautifully detailed Serene Silhouettes stamp set! For this card I used markers directly on the rubber and stamped onto GLOSSY cardstock for a crisp shiny look.
Then I layered onto the NEW Polka Dot Designer Series Paper in Rich Razzleberry! A little row of Rhinestones add balance.
Here is Comfort Cafe Designer Fabrics on a Birthday card. I LOVE Stampin' Up! fabrics because their colors COORDINATE perfectly with all other Stampin' Up! products!!

I'm waiting for YOU!!
Convention time is coming! It's always the highlight of my summer. When demonstrators gather there is always card swapping to share our ideas. This is my major design for this year, created with the charming NEW "Floral District" Designer Series Papers!
67 finished and counting. Here a secret: I hate making the same thing over and over and over!! I will vary the paper designs so I don't go NUTZ!! @#$%^&* But the end result of swapping with others is FUN and gives me tons of different styles and ideas!!
Linda Niemeyer demonstrated this sweet flavorful treat idea at my June demonstrator meeting! What a GREAT idea! CUTE!!
Linda chose the flower from Button Buddies stamp set of EIGHT images as the decorative focal point tag. Linda loves 3-D projects!
Here's an oldie but a goodie photo! This was my FIRST Stampin' Up! Convention in 1997. Shelli Gardner is in the middle and her sister, LaVonne is on the right. The theme that year was "Stamper's Country Fair" hence their costumes. I was sooo thrilled to meet these friendly co-founders of Stampin' Up! I HAVE NEVER MISSED AN ANNUAL CONVENTION!!
LaVonne retired early and Shelli is still our CEO. Stampin' Up! is now in SEVEN countries and adding two more soon! WOW! From Shelli's living room to the WORLD!! What a huge accomplishment!
This Swapbox Swap from June's demonstrator meeting features NEW Floral District Designer Series Papers!
Basic Grey is a NEUTRAL and pairs with almost any color! I punched up the Basic Grey with Daffodil Delight. Don't you agree they are a "perfect pair?" For the most interest, make your layers unequal in width!!
This lovely detailed image is from the NEW "Serene Silhouette" stamp set - a favorite of mine!! Give Basic Grey a try!!
We recently went to the Beach on Sanibel Island to check the damage from Tropical Storm Debby in June. A good number of Sea Turtle nests were washed away, but this one remained! The Sea Turtle is endangered and all nests are marked clearly to protect the eggs. Notice all the shells which were deposited way up on the beach by the strong storm surfs.
In the same location, we saw TWO Opsrey, which are very common because their diet is 99% fish. We see them frequently here, and often carrying a fish in their claws. Their wingspan is 71"! Did you find the two birds: one at the top left and another in the lower center.
This a hard bound journal I created with Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio. I have monthly incentives for my downline demonstrators who "grow" their business. This was a special PERSONALIZED gift for Julie. This makes such a wonderful one-of-a-kind gift!! Try My Digital Studio FREE for 30 Days by clicking HERE!
Now that I live in Southwest Florida, I was thrill to see the NEW stamp set BY THE SEASHORE!
I stamped the shell in Soft Suede ink. Then I used an aqua painter to "bleed" the ink where I wanted to add shading. It's sooo simple! Then I added a Basic Grey shadow under the image. Give this trick a try!
SERENE SILHOUETTES is my personal favorite stamp set in the NEW catalog! The four images of nature are full of details!
I love neutral patterns and used the NEUTRALS COLOR COLLECTION DESIGNER SERIES PAPER STACK for the background.
I appreciate you stopping by my blog! Come back frequently!
Here I paired this lovely floral stamp with the NEW Polka Dot Designer Paper in Real Red! HAD to add Red Glimmer Paper, too!
NEW Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon is the final touch. Get your $5 "Reason to Smile" stamp set TODAY!! Click HERE.
Ohhh gosh, I'm in love with Stampin' Up!'s NEW Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Papers in SIX colors! This creation shows both sides of the Designer Paper. There is just something crisp about Polka Dots! This was a Shoebox Swap at my recent demonstrator meeting. I'm sorry I don't know the designer.
The sentiment is found in the NEW "Forever with You" stamp set of four images. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR AMERICA!
You are going to LOVE these NEW Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Papers! There are SIX different designs and here I used the woodgrain. The design comes heat embossed with clear embossing powder onto kraft cardstock. You can see the SHINE of the embossing.
I paired this unique paper with the NEW stamp set called SERENE SILHOUETTES. Look at the great details in this image.
I recently travelled to northern Illinois where most of my Stampin' Up! downline demonstrators live. My group is North Star Stampers and I had an annual meeting. I recognized the SIX top demonstrators of the year ending June 30, 2012. From the left: Linda Niemeyer, Shari Ball, Mary Elliott, Barb Faulkner, Audra Moncur, and absent, Michelle Miller. Michelle was unable to attend because she had a stampin' event. She got the final sales she needed to earn the TOP incentive, a trip to Fiji in the South Pacific! Congrats to Michelle and Audra who both earned this Grand Vacation! So happy for you!!
It was so fun to see everyone and share stampin' ideas! I love my new home in FL, but miss all my stampin' friends in the midwest. Best of luck to all my North Star Stamper Family as we begin a NEW Stampin' Up! Year!! Share what you love!
