Fabric on the card...

100_1951
I LOVE Stampin' Up!'s coordinating product lines!! Creating is easy when you know the colors are correctly matched. This sweet friend card shows how the "Comfort Cafe" Designer Fabric is a perfect match with the Pool Party cardstock! See the TUESDAY post for details about using fabric on cards.

This GATE card swings open in the middle. I frequently use this sentiment from Occasions Alphabet - lots of great greetings in that set of 26!!

Half - Way Tree

I find this amazing. The sign reads: "This Bur Oak marks the halfway point between LAKE MICHIGAN and the MISSISSIPPI RIVER. Paced off by Indian runners and confirmed by the U. S. survey in 1882." It's located just outside of Brodhead, Wisconsin.

I've just returned home from a 4,000+ mile trip north to visit our daughters, relatives and stampin' friends! We came home to Tropical Storm Debby with lots of wind and water everywhere! I'll be posting pictures soon. Most importantly, our home is dry!

It's FABRIC!

100_1948
Did you know Stampin' Up! offers Designer FABRICS that perfectly coordinate with it's other product colors?? And here is an idea for using that great coordinating fabric on cards! It's quite simple. Apply Stampin' Up!'s Big Shot Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheets to the fabric - NO iron needed. It is quick peel and stick. Next, run it thru the Big Shot Die Cutting machine with the Tasteful Trims Die. It's now ready to peel and stick to the cardstock!

Fabric adds a nice tactile texture to cards. I paired it with shiny coordinating Pool Party Seam Binding.

The sentiment is stamped on the NEW Apothecary Accents Framelit! Give Fabric a try! For more ideas, click DESIGNER FABRICS in the right column.

Simple

This creation features the NEW "Papaya Collage" stamp set of 7 images. I used the new Summer Starfruit ink and paired it with a touch of Soft Suede cardstock.

100_1933
The key to white on white is adding texture which I did with the Perfect Ploka Dots Embossing Folder and my cherished Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. The BEST way to get your Big Shot is book a party with me and use Hostess Benefits of 50% off one item to purchase this incredible Die Cutting Tool!!

Simplicity

Summer simplicity! Here is a sweet idea to try. Sponge a color frame to add interest to a simple card and coordinating envelope. This color is Pool Party - it's SOOO Florida!

100_1955
I cut a template with the Apothecary Accents Framelit and my trusty Big Shot! To save cleaning sponges, I just label them with a specific color, so I use them only with that ink pad. The color stays true. Pounce with the sponge on the ink pad, then pounce on your cardstock along the edge of the template, holding the template firmly in place.

Sponging gives a soft frame for my Occasions Alphabet greeting! Try this fast, simple design!

100_1942
Here I stamped the lovely ginko leaves from "Papaya Collage" stamp set, in a circular pattern as a base on the layer.

100_1944
The same set contains this unique medallion circle which holds a small greeting. I added corner piercing for detail and texture.

Tallest Man in History

100_1977
Meet Robert Pershing Wadlow, the tallest person in history at 8 ft. 11.1 inches and 439 pounds. He had a condition called HYPERTROPHY of the pituitary gland and was still growing at the age of 22 when he died. At 5 years of age, Wadlow was already 5'4" and 105 pounds. AMAZING!

100_1980
This is my daughter's size 7 Ladies foot next to Wadlow's size 37AA Men's size shoe...custom made, of course.

100_1982
Here I am with our youngest daughter, Katie. I'm 5'8" for comparison. The statue is in Alton, IL which was the home of Wadlow.

Frame it...

100_1945
The NEW stamp set, "Papaya Collage" is an eclectic assortment of images! This frame has plenty of space to insert an image! It also makes a GREAT address label on your envelope.

100_1946
This rose image from the same set, is incredibly detailed! I inked it with my NEW Raspberry Ripple Marker for a punch of color.

Masculine Metal

100_1934
Here is a clever idea for a masculine birthday! I ran aluminum flashing (used for roofing) thru my Big Shot in the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. Very MACHO!! If you don't have flashing, cut a soft drink can open! The BIG SHOT is soooo VERSATILE - couldn't create without mine!

100_1935
Then I paired the metallic layer with Midnight Muse and Old Olive colors. Need a Big Shot?? Buy it HERE!

2012-14 In Colors

100_1938
This geometric layout was featured in our Demonstrator magazine. I copied the layout but substituted the NEW 2012-14 In Colors for the color of the circles. Five new In Colors are introduced each June and  run for two years. This card was the Make & Take for my New Catalog Drop In so everyone could go home with a sample of these trendy fun colors.

100_1939
These are 1" circles inside the Postage Punch. New colors freshen up all your old favorite stamp images. When you purchase a new ink pad color ALWAYS get a reinker at the same time to keep your ink pad viable!
