For Joyce, QUEEN of Hostesses!

This is an extra special thank you card I made for my special friend and hostess, Joyce! The background is Mocha Morning Specialty Paper - its FLOCKED. The colors are Crumb Cake, Basic Black, and Very Vanilla - lovely neutrals!  The crown is a Stampin' Up! Trinket with a lobster clasp.

This pic shows the lobster clasp that Joyce can easily unfasten and clip onto any necklace, bracelet, or zipper pull! Its a tiny gift with BIG pizzazz because Joyce is special!

Stampin' Up!'s new Creative Elements Stamp Set

This lovely vintage creation was made by Julie B., a fellow demonstrator from CA! LOVE IT!! Julie used the new Wisteria Wonder In Color and Crumb Cake cardstock. The oval frame was made with the new Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folders Set of two.  That gorgeous butterfly is from the new Creative Elements Stamp set. The Pearl are a perfect vintage embellishments. Great job Julie B!! I love your style.

Stampin' Up!'s French Foliage

Schools are starting and autumn is right around the corner. French Foliage stamp set of 6 images is so realistic and detailed. This lovely card was created by Dena Rassussen, my demonstrator friend from Rockford, IL.

Holiday Mini Catalog SNEEK PEEK!

I'm BACK in my stampin' room with NEW products that you will see in the Holiday Mini Catalog starting September 1st. This lovely holiday design is Pines & Poinsettias set of five images which I'm using for a demonstrator swap I'm participating in. Also notice the NEW Early Espresso QUILTED Satin ribbon that I layered on Real Red Satin ribbon - LOVE IT! The base of this card is the Scallop Square BIGZ CLEAR Die for the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.

Look closely at the pine cones - I added Stampin' Up!'s new Dazzling Details, a glittery glue that enhances snow. It's NOT too early to start thinking about your Christmas cards! There are lots of trendy, fun new products coming Setember 1st!!

I'm with my dear father as he struggles with cancer. I'll return to my blog when I am able. Thank you for your patience.

Fabulous Florets by Stampin' Up!

Fabulous Florets is a wonderfully versatile floral stamp set! Look closely at the flower. I inked up in Poppy Parade ink and then took a Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker and "thumped" on a darker shade, then stamped. I purposely positioned the cut out flower "off the white layer." The Poppy Parade cardstock was run through my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine with the Textured Lattice embossing Folder and then punched with the  2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch.

Colors are the new Pool Party, new Indigo Island, and Poppy Parade. This stamp set has coordinating Designer Series Paper, called Beyond the Garden, and qualifies for the FREE Designer Paper Promo this month.

Stampin' Up!'s Lovely as a Tree

As promised, here is another very simple card appropriate for many occasions. Lovely as a Tree stamp set has been in the catalog for TEN years because of it's versatility! I colored the rubber with two shades of green and two shades of brown, then stamped. A strip of Always Atrichoke cardstock was run through the BIG SHOT with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder to add texture.100_0695
The mighty oak! This also makes a great guy card.

Stampin' Up!'s Bird Builder Punch

After all the advanced convention swaps, here is a quick and simple card for summer! The grass from the Inspired by Nature stamp set has a perfect "bent blade" to use as a bird or bug perch. I created a simple bluebird using the Bird Builder Punch and Marina Mist cardstock. The breast is a piece of toren More Mustard cardstock. This is such a simple, fast card for any occasion! Come back tomorrow for another simple idea.

Strength & Hope Fund Raiser for Breast Cancer

Another surpurb convention swap, this one by Nancy Alvarez of FLusing Stampin' Up!'s Strength & Hope stamp set. Concord Crush cardstock and ink give a regal flare to this multi-layer vintage design. Once again the BIG SHOT Die Cutting Machine is used twice: Tasteful Trim scallop and Vintage Wallpaper background. Sponging adds an aging effect to support the vintage design.

Lots of layer interest! When you purchase this Strength & Hope stamp set in wood-mount, clear-mount or digital, Stampin' Up! donates $2 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation to find a cure in our lifetime. Please help us donate!! This offer ends August 31, 2011

I'm sorry the colors are not truer. They are NEW Lucky Limeade and Basic Black - very sharp! This is a fairly easy card with a lot of interest!

The shine on the butterfly is created with Smooch Spritz for an eyecatching focal point. The stamp sets are Kindness Matters and Four Frames.

Lots of layers mean lots of interest! The lovely color combo is Soft Suede, Pool Party, Peach Parfait, and Natural Ivory. STUNNING!

Stampin' Up! EXCLUSIVE Dies for the Big Shot Machine

This lovely convention swap was created by Amy Concs of IN. She used two EXCLUSIVE Stampin' Up! dies for the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine: Elegant Bouquet for the background and Beautiful Wings for the butterflies. The wording is from the new My Friend stamp set. ELEVEN pearls are the perfect embellishment for these soft colors!
