Sneak Peek into next week's NEW 2018-19 Annual Catalog!! I cannot get enough of this gnarled pine tree! This is the AWESOME new Rooted in Nature BUNDLE of 16 images and 12 dies #148352 in wood, or #148353 in clear mount.
I used the "Masking Tape Technique:" press a low adhesive tape (like painter's tape) onto your ink pad to pick up color, then press the tape onto your cardstock to transfer the color. SO EASY!
The coordinating Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper #146338 makes perfect wrapping paper for smaller gifts! Click this picture to get a larger view of this lovely detailed leaf print. This bundle will be a top-seller! It is available beginning June 1, 2018. A WINNER, for sure.
To create realistic sunglasses for a handmade card, I started with Pocketful of Sunshine Bundle #145345. Stamp the sunglass image two times: once on the color of cardstock for the eyeglass frame and once on Silver Foil Paper #132178. Die Cut the eyeglass frame. Hand cut the lens only from the Silver Foil Paper. Layer. EASY! It's so cute to have a fancy pocket to show off your Rhinestone embellished sunglasses!!
Pocketful of Sunshine BUNDLE $AVES you 10% when purchased by May 31th!!
Did you notice the "Pick A Pattern" Washi Tape #144166 made the pocket more FUN??
Copper Heat Embossing looks so natural with any rosy hued paper! This is the May Early Release Bundle, Love What You Do! I have a "paper saving tip" for YOU -
The Copper Foil #142020 layer of this card made TWO layers!! I used my Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer #126889 to cut the smaller layer from the center of the larger layer. The Designer Paper totally covers the hole!
No one knows my secret except you! Don't tell! Try it!!
Sometimes you want to create something soft and special. I really like the look of this simple sponging technique!
I used the DEBOSSED side of the Lovely Floral Dynamic Embossing Folder that is part of the May 2018 Early Release Promo. I prefer Sponge Daubers #133773, but you can also use Stampin' Sponges #141337. Pounce the dauber on a ink pad to collect ink. Then gently rub onto the image. It's very easy because it is "inexact." Rubbing lightly is best - you can always add more color if desired.
The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede ink instead of a bold black ink. Try this simple coloring trick!
A GLOSSY greeting for someone special! Cut 2-3 sentiments using the Happy Birthday Thinlits #143700. Stack them exactly on top of each other with adhesive. Simply heat emboss the greeting two times, using Versamark ink pad and CLEAR embossing powder. A tweezers is very helpful. Attach to your card.
This angle really shows the SHINE!! The sentiment seems to jump off the paper!
Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set has been in the Stampin' Up! Catalog for a longggg time because it is a true CLASSIC. Today, I used it to try the BLACK ICE TECHNIQUE: Lightly drag an Archival Black Ink Pad over metallic foil paper. Then stamp your image in black ink. Dry completely with a heat tool. Heat emboss the entire layer using Versamark Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. I personally would have named this technique "tintype," because it looks so much like early photography!!
This one uses Gold Foil. SECRET: I got a big blob of black ink on this foil and didn't like it. So...I punched out the trees and threw away the blob!! LOL I actually like this layout!
Don't these look old fashioned??
And here is a quick SPRING card that uses a touch of sponging!
This is a MUST HAVE stamp set, available in my online store now.
Grab your Washi Tape! My good friend and fellow Team Member, Linda Niemeyer, sent me this great idea using Washi Tape! Attach assorted Washi Tapes to an adhesive sheet and die cut a word using your Big Shot Die Cutting Machine!! This is just too cute and easy!! So COLORFUL!
Linda, thank you for this very clever use of Washi Tape!
Try it today!!
Dorothy Chabot, my friend and Stamp Club member, sent me this "TOO-CUTE-FOR-WORDS" card!! It's extra special because we have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in our family, Maxie!! Here is Maxie for comparison-
Dorothy used her new Stamparatus, advanced positioning tool, to stamp the doggies in a circle! She did an OUTSTANDING job of making a perfectly specific card for ME!! LOVE IT DOROTHY!! Part of the JOY of stamping is personalizing our cards to connect with the receiver!
This sweet pooch is from Bella & Friends Stamp Set #141870. The Stamparatus will be available June 1, 2018 in the NEW 2018-19 Annual Catalog. Here is a link to make a template to use with the Stamparatus to stamp in a "circle!" Ruth with ArtfulStampin'

I NEVER have enough floral images! Southern Serenade Stamp Set #145921 has a lovely lacey image to pair with the floral. I got out Vellum #101856 which I have neglected far too long! This is the "Stained Glass" Technique. Stamp the image on Vellum, dry, color on the BACKSIDE. It's a nice soft look. This is Pink Pirouette cardstock and Blends. Stampin' Write Markers can be used as well.
I scored the left edge of the vellum and wrapped it around the back of the layer to attach. I "hid" a glue dot on the back of a flower center to keep the Vellum flap in place.
Another version - I used Blushing Bride Cardstock and Light Calypso Coral Blends on Vellum. This is a special sympathy card that has already gone in the mailbox.
Try this good old "Stained Glass" Technique!! I'm sorry Blends are sold out at the moment, but never fear - they are coming! Keep them on your Wish List!

Use an exacto knife to gently open the seam of the box so you can lay it flat.
Insert one half of the box into the embossing folder with the EDGE of the embossing folder at the top score mark of the top of the box. Repeat for the other half of the box. Rebuild the box with strong adhesive like Tear & Tape #138995. Embellish! GREAT wedding idea! This Basket Weave Embossing Folder is part of a FREE Bundle with purchase during Sale-A-Bration.
Let's start the New Year with one of my favorite SPACE SAVING TIPS! Some clear mount stamp sets come in two cases because the uncut rubber takes up space.
The case covers slip easily out of the plastic sleeve of the case. I combine the two case covers into one, making sure I have an index on the spine of the box. A little trimming and gluing and I have ONE perfectly complete stamp case instead of TWO!!
It's important to have an accurate spine index so you see all the images and sentiments when you are searching. Try this!
This adorable Petal Palette Bundle will be available WED., Jan. 3, 2018 in the NEW OCCASIONS CATALOG! GET READY!
I truly enjoy Blending!! It's even more fun with NEW images from the 2018 Occasions Catalog, available Jan. 3, 2018!
I just finished a pile of Pinwheel Table Favors for Thanksgiving at my cousin's home! Thanks to Shari Wicks, my friend and fellow Team member, for sharing this quick and adorable idea with me. Shari saw this on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/Nex89-fOScM

Available NOV. 1, 2017!!
I have about 50 orchids, a small collection by Florida standards! Orchid gardening is my "brain refresh" when my creative juices quit flowing - LOL! Most orchids have roots that escape the pot, because they are "EPIPHYTES" (air plants.) So I decided to add that unique root element to my design. I used the HAPPY BIRTHDAY Thinlits Dies #143700 and cut off some curly ques that made perfect roots for my card create with the Climbing Orchid Bundle #143723.
Here is an example of healthy orchid roots - they prefer the outside of the pot!
This orchid pot is a 2-1/4" Circle Punch which I cut off the top and bottom. Make some unique orchid designs by adding realistic roots! Try it!!
I love all the Bridge Card fancy fold layouts I am seeing, but wanted to change it a little. I moved the "bridge" piece up to the top of the card and used a window sheet instead of card stock! This makes the French Horn magically "float!"
I used Tear 'n Tape #139995 to attach the Window Sheet #142314 at the very outside edges of the card. It's clear so it mostly disappears.
This top view really shows the "floating" die cut. I used the Musical Season Bundle #146048, a favorite of mine!
Yes, this card folds flat for mailing. It collapses to the side. Such a FUN fancy fold!!
Here is your pattern:
STARTS SEPTEMBER 1, 2017!!
These are just some of the truly wonderful seasonal product in the 2017 Holiday Catalog! If you live in the USA and don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I'll be happy to mail you a Holiday Catalog: email me at NancyFerb50@gmail.com
This stunning Easel Card designed by Julie Aurand of Rockford, IL was voted BEST SWAP at our recent Team Gathering! CONGRATS to Julie (17 year demonstrator) - she had lots of competition!
To create this EASEL card, cut the pop up layer of cardstock 3X6", scoring at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2". Tuck and attach the 1/2" "HINGE" at the top of your card with STRONG adhesive because it is a moving part. Attach the focal image on the lower 3 X 2-3/4" section ONLY. Be sure to add a "STOP" to support the lower edge of the easel - a dimensionalized punch out is perfect.
The Copper Foil center of the Daisy is a real WOW!! Die cut or punch a center about 1/2" in diameter from Copper Foil Paper. Place the circle face down on a piercing mat. Using the larger end of a stylus, rub tiny circles into the the back of the foil. Mount with a dimensional.
This design folds flat for mailing. Colors: Berry Burst, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake. TRY IT!

Grab some fall ink pad colors and Watercolor Paper #122959. Spritz the Watercolor Paper lightly with water. While closed, squeeze the ink pads to get the ink on the inside of the lids. Collect ink from the lid of the ink pad with an Aqua Painter. Apply the colors to the Watercolor Paper. Let dry.
Dies of black card stock POP!! I LOVE the NEW Lemon Lime Twist color for a SNAP of COLOR!

Stamp detailed leaves onto the dried glossy paper and die cut leaves.
Leaves are very versatile!
Enjoy the many colors of Autumn!

Sometimes a design needs diagonally placed ribbons. Here is how to place them symmetrically.
Put Tear 'n Tape #138995 on the backside of two ribbons cut to the length you need.
Using Grid Paper #130148, place your layer diagonally on the BOLD CENTER LINE of the Grid Paper. Remove the Tear 'n Tape backing and lay the ribbon horizontally across the top corner of your layer. Line it up with the grid markings. Count the squares from the card tip to the edge of the ribbon. Lay the other ribbon on the bottom corner, counting up the same number of squares. Wrap the ribbon ends to the backside of the layer. Perfection!! I love Grid Paper and use it EVERYTIME I create! It has handy measurements, too.
This is the Background Bits HOST Stamp Set. Try this ribbon trick!
Grid Paper - $11
Playing with watercoloring will make you feel like a kid! It's unstructured and free. I scribbled Real Red and Daffodil Delight Reinker on wet watercolor paper with an Aqua Painter. After it dried, I punched out one Daisy, rotated it 90 degrees and re-attached it with dimensionals. How easy with BOLD results!
This view lets you peek under the Daisy. Try this fun idea!
FYI: This Daisy Punch has been incredible popular! If you order it and the number doesn't come up, it's out of stock again. Try at a later date - it's worth the wait!!
#143713 - $18
SIT BACK and enjoy summer!! I LOVE this Adirondack Chair die!! The leaf is very pretty, too. I used the old "Polished Stone Technique" for the backgrounds. Starting with GLOSSY Cardstock #144240, wet a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol. Then add a couple drops of 2 different reinker. Squeezed several drops of WINK OF STELLA CLEAR shimmer #141897 on the cardstock and started dabbing on color with the cotton ball. It's fun and easy! The large background was my first sheet. The lighter background was my last sheet as the colors were getting used up and became lighter. It takes about 10 minutes to dry on the glossy cardstock. Very cool effect! Try it.
These colors are VERY refreshing: NEW Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay!! There is SHIMMER and GLOSS that the photo doesn't show.
Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies
#143751 - $33 for 17 dies
also available bundled with images
If you are a "traditional stamper," you may not like this card. It's ARTSY! I started with a watercolor base of Crushed Curry ink for Daisies and Emerald Envy ink for leaves. I punched two daisies, centered on the point of color change. I turned the punched out daisies 180 degrees and attached them. Now the colors are flipped!
The NEW Mini Dimensionals #144108 are the perfect size for the petals!!
I attached a "trimming" off the front to the inside for color!
This is a BOLD, HAPPY card outside of the "traditional box!" Try it!!

I highly recommend using SHIMMERY WHITE CARDSTOCK #101910! It has a great finish, perfect for this FUN technique! I did this technique previously and here is MY TUTORIAL.
It's very easy to create water on your handmade cards. Simply tear cardstock!! Keep your fingers close together and tear towards yourself for the most control. I like to use the torn side with exposed fibers for even more interest and texture. The same "paper tearing" technique can create sand for a beach!
I cut the left edge of the shovel away from the bucket so I could "push" it into the sand! This is another card from my recent FLORIDA THEMED CARDS CLASS. Try tearing some cardstock!!
Day at the Beach Stamp Set
#142258 wood - $27
#142261 clear - $19
Some stamp images just scream MOTION!! It's easy to create: ink up once, stamp repeatedly moving slightly each time. For this hammer, I kept the heel of the handle in the same place when repeating the image. Stamp in the OPPOSITE direction of the actual motion you want to mimic. I stamped first near the wood and then rotated the head of the hammer upward.
I love this masculine stamp set called NAILED IT!! It's a great BUNDLE for GUY cards! Father's Day will be here before you know it!

Attention all Stamp Club Members who just purchased the LIFT ME UP BUNDLE!! This video is a cute idea from Stampin' Up! using your new products! What a sweet gift idea!! Give it a try!
Grab some ribbon and make a ONE-OF-A-KIND Card!! This technique is very similar to those pot holders you made as kid - so I know you can do this!
Start with a "window," which I die cut using a large heart from the SWEET & SASSY FRAMELITS DIES. Place TEAR & TAPE around the window on the BACKSIDE of the cardstock.
I chose 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Blushing Bride and Pool Party for weaving because this is a Baby Card. Remove the TEAR & TAPE backing and lay strips of ribbon across the opening lightly pressed onto the tape. TIP: leave a tiny 1/32" between these ribbons to make the next step easier. Next, weave another color thru the ribbons by lifting every other ribbon slightly with the tip of a scissors.
Press the ends firmly onto the TEAR & TAPE. Trim all ends inside the edge of the cardstock. Fasten any loose ribbons ends with glue dots.
Just look at the SWEET, TEXTURED results!! Try using all ribbon scraps for multi-colors. Try mixing narrow and medium width ribbons. Try metallic ribbons. Try a 2 by 2 weaving pattern. Try weaving at an angle (bias.) TOO MANY POSSIBILITIES!! Just play with it!
I used the heart die cut from the front to stamp my inside sentiment. When using soft colors I avoid the harshness of black ink. This color is Soft Suede.
VIOLA!! Remember to make a coordinating envelope using the Envelope Punch Board! This VERY SPECIAL card is going to baby AUDREY GRACE, a precious little blessing!
You MUST try this!!
Sweet & Sassy Framelits
#141707 - 15 dies for $35
Today's Valentine is a showy Tri-Fold design. This requires 12X12" cardstock. Start with your Real Red cardstock cut to 12" X 5-1/2". Score at 4-1/4", 7-1/4" and 10-1/4". A Belly Band holds the card flat and the band's measurement is flexible. Mine is 1" X 9-1/2". The feature is the sweet Sending Love Design Series Papers!
I like to give the Belly Band a cute FOCAL point! LOVE THE LIPS STAMP!!!
Here is the total presentation! I alternated the Designer Series Paper: dark/light/dark so it pops. This BUNDLE saves you 10% and is sooo VERSATILE! Have you made your Valentines yet??
Sealed with Love BUNDLE
27 photopolymer images & 14 dies
We ALL love versatility! Check out what I did with Stampin' Up!'s SO DETAILED Thinlits!!
I needed a coordinating envelope for this Valentine. So, I cut an extra die cut from the same die used on my card. I lightly attached it to the envelope flap, just to hold it in place.
Using a sponge dauber, I pounced on heavy color using a Real Red ink pad.
I gently pulled away the die and I have the perfect coordinating envelope flap! The Die Cut was used as a stencil! As a BONUS, I can use the Red Stencil on another project! Another variation in my NEXT post! Stop back.
