Tips to Attach Vellum on Card Fronts

20171016_162716

This soft and simple snowflake card features the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #144686. The base card is Soft Sky and rather difficult for amatuer me to photograph. In person this is really sweet. The Snowflake is embossed on Vellum Card Stock #101856.

I attached the Vellum top layer in two ways. I used Tear & Tape #138995 under the snowflake.

I also placed a glue dot on the dot of the "J" on the Soft Sky base card. Last, I centered the Vellum layer pressing the Tear & Tape and glue dot firmly. The glue dot is covered by a Rhinestone #144220. No adhesive shows thru on the front of the Vellum! So look for places under embellishments to "hide" your adhesives when using Vellum.

Sharon, I hope you will try it!

Hi Gail, I'm sorry to hear you are getting wrinkles. I am not able to reproduce that issue. I might suggest reducing the size of your paper to be embossed. My Vellum was 5-1/4" X 4". Hope that helps you.

Such a beautiful card! Do you have any tips on avoiding little wrinkles when embossing the snowflake? It seems no matter how I place it, I get a small crease at the very top or the very bottom of the snowflake. I'd love a tip! gailstamps@comcast.net
