This is what my Godfrey, Illinois home office looked like a month ago - very empty!
I like to set up my desk in an "L" or "U" configuration. I found the perfect white desk at Cymax.com. My hubby did a great job of assembling the parts!
I have a hanging file folder drawer for all my card stocks. There is a handy shallow drawer for paper punches and embellishments.
This view shows the entire "U," and our sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Maxie!! This is definitely the nicest stamping office I've ever had!! There is a lovely view out the front of the house so I can see the US mail and UPS deliveries! There is a hanging wren house waiting for occupancy! I'm still stocking this office - I'm one of Nancy's best customers! LOL We will spend summers in this home near our family and new grandaughter - and winters in Punta Gorda, FL away from the snow and ice. I'm very grateful.
Need water?? Grab your blue card stock scraps and start tearing! It's that EASY! Tearing fairly straight will create calmer seas. Tearing more irregularly will make CHOPPY water. Start layering at the horizon and work to the foreground. I like to use several shades of blue and turquoise.
I fell in love with this "heart" thinlit at first sight! So of course, why not get the entire Sunshine Sayings BUNDLE and $AVE 10%! Playful Palette 6X6" Designer Series Paper STACK #141657 was the color inspiration - it's FUN & WILD!
Did you notice I cut off the S-U-N in "sunshine?" This was a recognition card for an outstanding Team member!
This yummy two-step stamp set is called FRESH FRUIT and has coordinating paper, FRUIT STAND Designer Series Paper #141660! SWEET! I inked up the pear, added a slight sponging of green and then stamped it. LOVE the results. The Oval Layering Framelits #141706 create a perfect "window" for the sentiment.
To get perfect placement, create the window, close the card and stamp the sentiment THRU THE OPENING!
I popped up a frame cut with the same Oval Layering Framelits using plenty of Dimensionals.
SUCH FUN! Fill this adorable jar with lots of things! The small heart stamp images comes in this stamp set called "Jar of Love." I cut a reverse MASK: stamp the jar onto the sticky edge of a Post-It note. Cut out the jar. Use the "space" where the jar image was removed to place around your stamped jar image. This lets you stamp the hearts and MASKS them from beyond the edge of the jar. Keep the masks in your stamp case for future use.
The jar lid is stamped and then die cut so I could dimensionalize it.
This JAR stamp set in the new Stampin' Up! catalog really caught my eye!! I, personally, can never have too many flowers! Be sure to notice that the TWO STEP BUNDLES have tiny TABS on the stamp images and framelit dies. They are guides to lining up the images quickly!! SO VERY HANDY, but they are tiny and you could miss them if you didn't know!
Start building your floral arrangement from the background forward. End by placing the small elements into any empty spaces or over any "mistakes." FUN-FUN-FUN!! Come back for my next post with a different JAR idea!
